چکیده
Pesticides are complex organic substances that an important source of water pollution. Using pesticides is one the actions for harvest protection. This, however, does not negate fact its usage can result to negative consequences as well. The study toxic action lambda-cigalotrin (the piretroid insecticides which included in icons, karate, commodore, samurai) on quantitative contents fatty acids and structural lipids muscle, gills, liver, brain fishes river Alazani was carried out. Based actual material, conclude intoxication fish tissues with lambda-cyhalotrin processes appear, stimulates oxidation free radicals lipids. peroxides initiators formed, stimulate lipid per oxidation. Exposure caused induction antioxidant enzyme activities indicating activation detoxification pathways defenses. non-protein sulfhydryl groups increased 1,75 0,109 compared control (1,04 0,123), while total statistically 39,16 1,44 (34,00 1,22 ).This indicates increase concentration protein controls. also identified excess amounts disrupts biochemical parameters. These changes may be potentially disruptive survivability natural resources. This should thus taken into consideration when this insecticide used pest agriculture fields surrounding surface ground

AIM To assess the effect of ICON (trade name of lambda-cyhalothrin) on sexual competence and fertility of male rats. METHODS Male rats were gavaged daily for 7 consecutive days with different doses of ICON (63 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg) or vehicle (distilled water). Their sexual behaviour and fertility were evaluated at different time points during treatment and post-treatment using receptive femal...

In March 1990 a study was carried out in the village of Kicheba, United Republic of Tanzania, in which the pyrethroid insecticide lambda-cyhalothrin was sprayed on all the internal surfaces of houses and other shelters at a coverage of about 25 mg of active ingredient per m2. Every day for 6 days, 12 spraymen and 3 squad-leaders were interviewed about symptoms of overexposure to the insecticide...

The effect of Lambda-cyhalothrin on the immune response was studied in rabbits exposed to the insecticide via food at concentrations of 1373.23, 686.76 or 343.38 ppm (equivalent to 1/10, 1/20 and 1/40 oral LD50, respectively) for 8 weeks. The humoral immune response was measured by determination of the antibody titre against sheep red blood cells (SRBC), a T cell dependent antigen. Moreover, th...
